The store bought cupcakes looked cute as they were holding my cupcake toppers.

Popcorn in a cauldron, Skeleton hand tongs, and more goodies for the ghouls!

Every year Nina & I make Witch hands!

They're a super easy craft that's also fun to eat.

Plastic food handling gloves, candy corn for nails, and popcorn filling.

Don't forget to add a spider ring onto one of the fingers.

I made a Witch hand craft kit for each of Nina's guests.

As you can see, the girls had a great time putting them together!

I'm not sure what happened to all my pictures of the girls carving their pumpkins...

I set out a cauldron full carving tools, lots of carving templates,

and had each girl bring a cleaned out pumpkin to carve.

Look how great everyone did.

Another fun & spooktacular time with friends!

I made red cakepops, and displayed them in an old-fashioned pail.

I actually bought it brand new from Michael's.

The striped ribbon helped tie everything else together.

Chocolate mustaches from a mold I purchased at Michael's worked perfectly!

I found a very old ball jar, and used it to display wrapped bubble gum.

  I bought these neat chocolate cupcakes from Walmart, and added my own toppers.
I displayed the desserts on an old dresser.
I ran out of room for the mustache cookies I ordered,
so I cleverly displayed them in an open dresser drawer! 

One of my favorite things to do is dip things in chocolate!

I took store bought rice crispy treats, and dipped them in red chocolate.

The red, white, and blue sprinkles added that little extra touch.

I'm excited to start a new series on my blog called, Past Party Monday! 

I've thrown a few parties over the years, and I came across my old pictures last week.

It's hilarious to look back and see what I thought was a "cool" party prop back then!

If anything, I hope you can take something from my past parties, and improve it. LOL

It's actually neat to see how much my parties have changed improved over the years.

My first Past Party is one I created last year for my daughter Nina's Birthday.

This was super fun to do because I took an old piece of furniture, and old foot stool, 

and even a beat up chandelier, and totally gave them a Glam transformation!

{more on those things later}

My daughter is a total girly-girl! She always wears some type of bow in her.

And she's also a huge fan of zebra, pink, glitter, and anything w/sequins!

I thought it would be so neat to create a Glam Lounge for her & her friends.

Nail polish, a do-it-yourself taco bar, {a bday girl fave} 

night swimming, a movie outside with our projector, and 

a sleepover in the backyard, inside glam tents!

Here was Nina's invitation. Something very simple, but oh-so-glamorous!

The Birthday girl was getting ready for her party!

  I brought out Nina's 3-sided mirror from her bedroom.
{I scooped this up from a yard sale for 10 bucks!}

I knew the girls would have fun with this as they hung out in the "glam" lounge.

Makeup, nailpolish, and other fab essentials, would also be a hit!

The girls each got glamified party favors!

They had so much fun, and really enjoyed sleeping outside in tents!

The glam party - MAKEOVER EDITION

BEFORE

Months leading up to Nina's party, I was on the hunt for the perfect party items!

I found this old furniture piece, and chandelier at my Grandma's house.

I mean, really? How perfect are these two pieces??

Anyone would've scooped them up in a heartbeat!

{Luckily I could see their potential}

My Grandma had them in her storage shed, and gave them to me for FREE!

Total score, if you ask me : )

AFTER

For the old hutch: I added some primer, and a couple coats of black paint. 

I also glued on some pearl accents, and attached glass knobs to the front of the doors.

Totally "glam" don'tcha think?!

For the chandelier: Primer, black spray paint, and a feathery boa.

I covered the white covers with zebra print duck tape, and quickly spray painted the lamp shades.

You almost wouldn't know this was the same chandelier!!

Is everyone ready for Mother's Day? I'm still scrambling a bit to gather my gifts, cards, etc. 

{I'm not usually this behind...}

Carefully insert your lollipop stick into the Oreo.

For extra support, I gently held the cookie together as I inserted the stick.

Once your sticks are in place, you're ready to dip!

I like to use a spoon to help scoop the chocolate evenly onto whatever I'm dipping.

Immediately after you dip the cookie, gently tap to let any of the extra chocolate drip.

Apply your sprinkles, and stick the cookie inside the styrofoam.

This will also allow them to dry completely.

I made 12 chocolate dipped cookies.

I even decided to change things up, and dipped some of them only halfway.

12 easy-peasy chocolate dipped Oreo cookies.

These are going to be perfect for the Mother's Day tea!
