Kid-friendly Fiesta + FREE printables! - LAURA'S little PARTY

Kid-friendly Fiesta + FREE printables!

April 19, 2015

Every year we love to throw a fun Fiesta!
I've got two toddler boys that love to celebrate as much as I do!
While shopping in Target a couple weeks back, I saw a darling Pin the tail on the pinata game. The colors were fun & bold, and the game inspired me to throw a kid-friendly fiesta!
I made printables to coordinate with the theme, and I'll be offering them as a {Free} download!
Are you ready to check out our fiesta? Vamonos!

I've always enjoyed putting kid parties together. The smaller sized tables, the little chairs, and even the little finger foods that are perfect for little hands, make me giddy!
For the party decor, I used items with the same color palette: orange, aqua, fuschia, and yellow.

I found some festive fabric at JoAnn's and I thought it would work perfectly with the colors I was using. After getting some of the party decor ready, I quickly started working on a simple menu of fruit cups, mini tacos, popcorn cups, and cupcakes. All of these items were store bought, and very easy to put together, in a short amount of time.

I found an Easter wreath on clearance, and embellished it with my printables, and quickly transformed it into a fiesta themed wreath. The whole project cost less than $5.

I also found some paper Easter grass in my party colors, {also on clearance} and used it on different items such as: mini gable boxes, and a festive faux cake that I created out of styrofoam & wrapping paper!

I thought the cake turned out so cute & colorful that I decided to make it the centerpiece of the party table.

A darling painted Mason jar from Just Add Glitter By Marla held all the colorful paper straws. And let's not forget about this darling miniature pinata! I purchased this little guy from Target, but he wasn't in the colors I wanted. Luckily, I knew of an easy fix. I spray painted him with spray paint, and once it was dry, I embellished it with pom-pom ribbon, and a tissue flower.

Clear plastic cups were given a little color, by attaching a large circle topper to the front, and adding a colorful paper straw.

Little cups of watermelon, and juicy mango, were gobbled up in a flash. My little guests enjoyed using little bamboo forks that I painted in a dandelion yellow. I also used mini letter stamps and spelled out "ole" on each fork handle.

I love finding new ways to seat my guests. I took some orange crates {intended for storage or hanging files} and added some printable banners to the backs, and used them as stools. They were nice & sturdy, and very eye-catching.

It was time for the guests to play Pin The Tail On The Pinata! I loved how colorful the poster was. And it came with 2 blindfolds, and lots of tail stickers.

Mini favor boxes were decorated to match the party decor, and left out for the guests to take home.
They even had fun wearing sombreros, while feasting on their mini tacos & fruit cups.

My two little amigos! I truly enjoy seeing their smiles, and happy faces, when they celebrate!
