Tricks, treats, and all kinds of yummy sweets make up some of my fondest Halloween childhood memories! I remember being so excited to wear my costume, trick-or-treat with friends, and watch "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".  Now I'm able to pass on the same fun traditions with my children: neighborhood parties, and lots & lots of tricks and treats!

This year, Hershey has come out with BIG Halloween candy bags, available at Walmart!
Their huge assorment of Hershey favorites such as Reese's, Kit Kat bars, and more, are featured in special Halloween variety bags. They make feeding all the neighborhood ghouls & goblins so much easier! I purchased a couple bags for our "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" Halloween party, and even have enough candy left over for our trick-or-treaters!

Hershey's Candy is a must for the Halloween season and the perfect addition to your festivities! Planning our Halloween party was so much easier, with the help of Hershey's candy! Once I had my candy purchase crossed off my list, it was time to start decorating, and crafting for our party!

When I throw parties, I really enjoy creating DIY projects! One of my favorite party additions is a faux cake. They add a splash of color to any table, and they are super easy to put together! Plus, you can create one for any + every party theme.

To create your own Faux cake, here are the supplies I used:

1. Wrapping paper of choice - I chose paper that would coordinate with our party theme.

2. 3 styrofoam rounds - I found these at my local dollar store.

3. Tissue festooning or ribbon

4. Scissors, double-sided tape, pen or pencil

Start by stacking your rounds on top of one another, and attach them with tape.
Note: this won't be a strong hold.

Take your wrapping paper, and wrap it around the styrofoam. Cut a little extra, just to be on the safe side. Attach with tape, and move the remaining roll of paper off to the side.

Once the paper is attached, you'll need to trim any extra paper from the top of your cake. Trim as close to the edge as possible.

Once you've trimmed the top, your cake should look like this.
Now you're ready to add a circle top.

From the extra paper you trimmed, trace the bottom of your cake. You'll be using the circle for the top {or "frosting"} of your cake.

Cut out the circle.

Place the "frosting" on top, and attach with your tape. Don't worry if the sides don't reach the outer paper. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Now it's time to start adding the tissue festooning.
Note: you may also use ribbon, feathers, etc. Add whatever coordinates best with your party!

Tissue festooning can be easily applied with tape. Continue adding it all around your cake top. This also helps hide any paper seams you might have.

Your cake is now complete! Easy, right?! And so festive.

You now have some fun DIY party decor, a successful party underway for your goblins & their friends, and trick-or-treaters at the door! Don't worry, Hershey's BIG bags of assorted candies will have you covered!

And more importantly, with Hershey's candy bag assortment, nobody will have to say, 'I got a rock' this Halloween!

Head to Walmart's Halloween section. You'll see their huge selection of Hershey candy bags on display, like the ones you see below.

How will you use Hershey candy to add a few more treats instead of tricks? Let Hershey's and Walmart help you make this your best Halloween yet!
