Mickey Bowling Birthday Party| Kid party ideas

August 26, 2016

My littlest son Dylan recently celebrated his third birthday! Like all of my children, he has had a special love for Mickey Mouse at a very young age. He loves when we go out bowling as a family so I thought a Mickey Mouse themed bowling party would be the perfect themed party for him.

I reserved a few lanes at our local bowling alley, and got started with the planning. I needed to use décor that would not only be easy to transport, but also easy to set up and take down! For my party table backdrop, I attached 3 foam boards together and wrapped them, using a flat paper in canary yellow. I added paper fans, a triangle banner, and some tissue fans in red and black.

I added Mickey ears to a light box and put it behind some darling bowling pin cake pops from Bella's Bakery & Bowtique. She also made Mickey candy apples, and chocolate covered oreos. So fun!

My friend Shawna made a special birthday crown especially for him! He didn't want to take it off - even after the party was over.

Also on the party table, I set out trophies for when all the bowlers were finished with their games.

A darling Mickey Mouse standee, and red and black polka dotted balloons greeted all the party guests!

Bowling Pin water bottles were the perfect touch to our Mickey Mouse bowling theme! They were set out at each party guest's place setting. I added a Mickey silhouette with black vinyl, from my Cricut Explore Air machine, and even made the head look like a bowling ball!

Yellow balloons were added to the polka dot mix, for some added pop of color!

The guests also had red gable boxes filled with all sorts of goodies: party dough, jelly bean packs, bowling lollipops, foam dart guns, and a mini bowling game! I finished it off by tying yellow rock candy to each party favor box.

The birthday boy was a little ham as all his family and friends gathered around for a group photo!

He loved watching his number 3 shaped sparkler candle fizz and pop as we sang the birthday song to him!

After singing and eating cupcakes, some of the guests had fun taking pictures with the Mickey Mouse photo props

Pinata time is always fun! We brought in a Mickey Mouse pinata with pull strings, and filled it with a cool pinata filler bag. Each guest took turns pulling a string in hopes to be the lucky one that opened the magic shoot!

It was a great day for a Mickey Mouse themed bowling party! The guests had a great time, and everyone was proud to hold a winning trophy!
