In our house, football equals food, friends, and fun! We were just itching for this season to start! Are you looking for fun ways to enjoy game day? We've teamed up with Walmart to show you fun and easy ways to get your game on!

And whether you're on the sidelines cheering, or watching from home, our team spirit station is sure to help you get your game on! And while you're looking for other game day ideas, head over to NotSoFastMom.com for more inspiration and recipes.

Football season is such a fun time! We love to head out and catch our local highschool's football game! It's great to watch these amazing athletes give it their all and perform with such passion. While observing the Friday night lights, I couldn't help but notice all the athletes taking short breaks and reaching for POWERADE. You know if they're satisfying their thirst during game time, they're also powering up with POWERADE during practice! And why wouldn't they? It's packed with essentials that are needed to perform at their best. Awesome!

When I was a cheerleader back in my college days, I had to have lots of team spirit! It was our job to keep the crowd pumped up, even if our team wasn't doing so hot. It's easy to stay pumped up if you have the right items to show off that team spirit! Why not set up a "Team Spirit" Station?!

Have your station include everything your guests will need to cheer on their favorite team! I painted an old potting table in green, black and white. I added a chalkboard back drop and painted "team spirit station" with a chalk marker.

I made sure the station had beads, pom-poms, eyeblack stickers, wristbands, cowbells, megaphones, and facepaint!

And let's not forget the main staple of a great football tailgate party - the food! You can serve a gourmet meal, or set out appetizers. Either way you serve it, make sure to have refreshing Coca-Cola for all your game day needs!

POWERADE can also come into "play" if you're sweating on the sidelines, cheering on your team!

I easily found them in the soda & beverage aisles at my local Walmart.

I headed to my local Walmart for all the tailgate fixings! I love to simmer little smokie sausages in bbq sauce. It super easy to prepare, and also filling. My football themed crock-pot from Walmart serves up the perfect batch for my guests, every time!

While at Walmart, I also spotted some delicious double chocolate-chip cookies. I added frosting laces to the tops of the cookies to resemble footballs.

Bacon wrapped hot dogs, anyone?! Top them with your favorite items. I used pico-de-gallo, and it was definitely a crowd favorite!

Add some football themed decor to add around your party table, ice chest, etc. To make things a bit easier, I'm including a free football banner download that I created. I'm also adding in some festive straw flags - they're perfect when sipping on an ice cold Coca-Cola!

Do you have any fun game day traditions? What about a tasty recipe idea! I'd love to hear about it!
