Host a Royal Wedding Tea + Viewing party - LAURA'S little PARTY

Host a Royal Wedding Tea + Viewing party

May 03, 2018

Last minute preparations are all abuzz as we eagerly await the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markel! Who else is excited?! Are you planning to watch this historical event on May 19th?! See our ideas and inspiration for hosting a Royal Wedding Viewing Party, complete with tea, fresh scones and lots of royal touches!

Fresh scones and jam are a must when celebrating like Royals! Display the scones on a silver platter and add it to your festive table scape, along with pops of British colors and Union Jacks.

Wow your guests with an entrance of Royal guards, a London phone booth and a London taxi cab!

Let your guests feel like Royalty as they enjoy their cucumber sandwiches, and tea. At every place setting, set out white gloves and pearl necklaces for them to wear.

Dress up your white napkins with special details: I ironed-on a glitter crown to each napkin and created pearl napkin rings with small sections of a pearl necklace. They looked so pretty on the British flag plates I created.

A beautiful display of roses will brighten up your Royal themed party so effortlessly! I set red and ivory long stem roses inside of a silver ice bucket that I borrowed from my Grandmother's beautiful collection.

I used a red polka dotted table cover and topped it with a pretty, navy petal fabric table runner. Floral dishes and pretty cups and saucers completed my Royal themed tea party.

Don't have any fancy silverware? No problem! You can easily get the look of pretty utensils by using Silver plastic utensils

Make plain folding chairs pop by using a satin chair sash. These royal blue sashes looked so elegant, don't you think?

A Royal tea party wouldn't be complete without tea, of course! Have flavored tea bags and hot water handy for your guests. I used my Grandmother's pretty silver tea set. It definitely made my table look more beautiful!

Your guests will love wearing a sparkly tiara while sipping their tea. I chose the Crowning Moment Tiara for my guests. It had the perfect amount of sparkle!

Whip up a batch of English Style Scones! I made these for the first time ever and it was much easier than I thought it would be. I've linked the tasty recipe, from Fifteen Spatulas

Will you be hosting your own Royal Tea viewing party? Get your sweet desserts ready and start gathering your fanciest tea cups and saucers! This will definitely be a Royal Wedding to remember!
