Taco Tuesday, cinco de mayo, fiesta!

Even if you don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo, you can always keep this in mind for your next Taco Tuesday!

If you are anything like me, you don't need to find an excuse to enjoy some delicious tacos! Throwing a fiesta is the perfect time to bring out the sombreros, papel picado, and of course, tacos!

I'll show you some easy ways to host the ultimate celebration with my festive decor ideas, menu suggestions, and much  more!

Don't have a venue to host your party? No problem! You can easily transform your house into THE place to fiesta this Cinco de Mayo! Maximize your space by decorating from floor to ceiling. Nothing says "fiesta" more than bright and bold colors, and lots of papel picado! Create some fun touches of greenery with the slotted cactus set.

Another easy way to decorate, that also adds lots of impact, is a balloon garland. There is no right or wrong way to create one! The more color and details in your balloon garland, the better!

You can easily create a fun and unique balloon garland for any party theme, with just a few supplies: I used balloon decorating tape, to hold all my balloons in place. For my Cinco de Mayo party, I added bold colored bright tone balloons and inflated them quickly and easily with a plastic balloon inflator. The secret to making the perfect balloon garland is to inflate your balloons in different sizes.

For more added fun, I assembled a colorful paper chain link garland.  I also added a fiesta themed tissue flower, and a sombrero

How fun is this taco twosday standee?! It is the perfect addition to your fiesta, and your guests will love it as well! This can also serve as a great photo opportunity.

One of my favorite things, when creating a party, is to put together a backdrop that really makes the party table POP and draw the guests over to the food and beverages! For my backdrop, I wanted to bring in a lot of bold colors, and create something unique for my fiesta.

I spotted a similar idea on Pinterest, and wanted to create something just as fabulous! I created a backdrop with strips of plastic. I used 5 different colors of plastic table cover rolls. How did I do it, you ask? I started by cutting 3" wide strips of plastic table covers, in 6' lengths. I repeated the process about 3 times, with each color.

Once my strips were cut, I took a roll of plastic fencing that I purchased from my local hardware store, and started looping each strip into the fencing holes. I grouped about 4 strips in each section of color.  I layered and mixed the colors as I went. To finish of the backdrop, I added gold letter balloons and gold script letter balloons to spell out "Cinco de Mayo".

Taco bout' a party! This super fun cardboard stand of a man wearing a sombrero is part of the taco twosday set - muy perfecto!

Make sure you keep your guests hydrated with delicious Mexican sodas and tasty food! Display easy to grab foods that keep your guests coming back for more.

A fun way to serve chips is to display them inside of a sombrero. Add a small plastic sombrero and fill it with tasty salsa!

Help make your party table more festive with a bold colored striped table runner. Display fresh fruit inside plastic tumblers - but don't just leave the tumblers plain, spice them up with some green tissue festooning! And don't forget the maracas!

Colorful food calls for colorful serving plates and napkins. The fiesta dinner plates are the perfect addition to your fiesta! Turn plain white polyester napkins into something festive and fun - I attached pom-pom ribbon to the bottom of each napkin with heat n bond tape. So easy and super colorful!

No party is complete without a photo backdrop! Photo booths are great for helping you create lasting memories of your event, plus you can look back on how much fun everyone had! The taco truck standee makes the perfect photo opp. Add a taco pinata, fiesta photo booth props, and your amigos!

Raise your hand if you're ready to start planning your Cinco de Mayo party now! Shindigz has everything you'll need to create that one-of-a-kind fiesta celebration!
