Mother's Day inspired tea party
April 13, 2012
I've always loved tea parties as a little girl!
I couldn't wait to set up a real-life tea party, with my Mother & Grandmother in mind.
With Mother's Day approaching, this was the best time to get started!
My Grandmother allowed me to set up the tea party in her beautifully decorated family room.
I was so excited to use her beautiful anitque furniture, and her delicate tea cups & saucers!
Her pink couches are so pretty! I've always been in love with them.
We only sit on them for special occassions.
These antique dolls really set the mood for an old-fashioned tea party.
These were dolls from my Grandmother's childhood!
I had so much fun setting up the table for our tea party!
The natural light, and beautiful color tones really set the mood.
I also lover her antique, silver tea pot.
I found hats, and even antique dishes, around my Grandmother's house.
I set out delicate doilies, and a boquet of wired flowers.
I fell in love with this plate stand. This was my inspiration piece!
My Grandmother had it set out on her table when I spotted it one day.
I just knew I had to use it soon!
A wonderful little tea party, perfect for Mother's Day!
We love to feel special, appreciated, and enjoy a lovely trip back to our childhood
