Oscar party inspiration + {free} printables!
February 23, 2014
Every year I look forward to watching the Academy awards!
I love seeing the stars walk down that red carpet.
The dresses. The jewels. The hairstyles.
Everthing about this night is so glamorous!
For the past few years, I've invited my girlfriends over for
an evening of fun.
Appetizers, drinks, and slippers...?!
Yep, I allow my guests to come over in their slippers, if they so choose.
And guess what? A few of them do!
If you need any last minute party inspiration + {free} printables,
then this post is for you!
This year I'm keeping it simple, and having a small spread set up for my girls.
I used gold, black, and red colors, and created simple Oscar party printables with
Popcorn always tastes better when served in cute holders!
Don'tcha think?
I picked up these striped cardboard holders at HomeGoods.
I painted an Ikea frame with Krylon gold metallic spray paint, and added a sign.
I took some gold chevron striped paper straws from HomeGoods, and tied them to
mini Martinelli's sparkling cider bottles that I set inside of tuxedo boxes!
I've gotten so many inquiries about these boxes - I found them at my local Dollar Tree.
So cute, right?!
Oscar night cupcakes should have a little glitz!
I created fun toppers with graphics from mygrafico.com
I also added red sparkly, wired tinsel. {purchased at an after Christmas sale}
I created a mini Oscar night banner to use for my backdrop.
I print out Oscar ballots for my guests & I to follow along as we watch the award show.
It's fun to pick who you think will win an Oscar, and then compare & tally
your score at the end of the show! Will you go home a winner?
I also posted a step-by-step tutorial on how to add a little sparkle to
your plastic champagne glasses that I found at Dollar Tree.
You'll also find a free printable for wine tag charms!
{I also used them for my cupcake toppers}
