If you're anything like my family, you get excited for all the sweet snacks and treats that come along with Halloween time! I recently created a super easy recipe using General Mills cereals: Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and Franken Berry® found at my local Target.

The boxes of cereal came with an exclusive package design! Each box had a part of a castle on the back of the boxes. When bought together, all 3 boxes of cereal would complete the spooky monster castly design. My boys couldn't wait to put it together!

I quickly cut out all the pieces, so they could play with the castle while I worked on maing my sweet treat recipe for them to enjoy.

I opt for simple recipes that can be done quickly. We're always on the go, so enjoying some fun family time is a must! Here's my recipe and tutorial for my sweet Monster Mash Halloween snacks.

  • Prep Time - 20 min
  • Total Time - 30 min
  • Serving Size - 24 servings
  • Cupcake wrappers
  • Candy eye balls

Instructions:

3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 10oz. bag of mini marshmallows
5 cups of Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and/or Franken Berry®

Start by spraying the bottom and sides of a 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray.

In large microwave bowl, combine marshmallows & butter, and heat in microwave for about 2 min.

When melted, quickly combine Monster Cereal, (I chose Boo Berry cereal) and mix until evenly coated, and goey.

Pour your mixture in the greased pan, and spread evenly.

Cool for 10 minutes.

You can either cut the Monster Mash in squares, or grab with clean hands to make lumpy clusters of the Monster Mash mix.

Next, set inside festive cupcake wrappers.

Add your candy eyeballs, and enjoy!

Meanwhile, the boys had a great time playing with their cereal box castle.

They especially loved when the Monster Mash snacks were done, and ready to eat!

Head to Target to find these specially marked boxes of Monster cereal. You can find them in the grocery section, and near the Halloween aisle!
