Star Wars Party Ideas | The Force Awakens - LAURA'S little PARTY

Star Wars Party Ideas | The Force Awakens

May 04, 2017

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a favorite in our house! We had the opportunity to style a party for Shindigz, and got to use some of their super cool Star Wars: The Force Awakens party products! The force was strong as we planned a fun party to help kick off the excitement of the upcoming movie release!

I love putting together fun celebrations for my kids. We celebrate often, and love having our friends over to help us, so I was pretty excited to set up a small table, fit for our little Star Wars lovers. They were greeted by light sabers, and lots of fun goodies at each place setting.

I turned over car wash buckets and used them as seating for our little guests. I found some Star Wars stickers, and stuck them on the sides of the buckets, for a little added fun!

I made a simple light saber for each child to use during battle. I took colored BamBams and wrapped them with Silver Metallic Streamers. A little black electrical tape detailed the saber handles nicely.

The children loved hitting the sabers together as they made a fun & unique sound. An easy + inexpensive craft that had the young masters battling the entire party!

When we called our friends over to celebrate, we asked them to dress as their favorite Star Wars characters. This would make for some fun photo opportunities in the simple photo booth we set up!

The Inquisitor costumes, and Ezra costume were huge hits at the party. Priness Leia, and Han Solo also made an apperance!

To create the photo backdrop, I took a roll of Black Stardust Patterned Paper, and covered a large section of plywood. I attached a few Star Wars balloons to a Black Foil Balloon Weight, and set out a super cool BB-8 Star Wars Standee

Add in some fun Star Wars photo booth props, and you'll have some great pictures of your happy guests.

When it comes to planning children's parties, you can't go wrong with a simple photo booth, festive decor, and The Star War Party Game! Each guest was blindfolded and sent off to either rule the galaxy, or join the resistance.

After pictures, light saber battles, and deciding what side they would choose, our little friends sat down for some party snacks & fun treats.

Each place setting had a Black Gable Favor Box filled with party favors. I attached small Star Wars Jelly Belly packages to each box handle by using blue Milky Way Garland
The Star Wars The Force Awakens Party Supplies were just what we needed to complete our party table. Inside each cup, I placed a Black Chevron Paper Straw.

Above the party table, I hung a set of Star Wars Honeycomb Decorations, along with a couple tissue poms, and paper lanterns that I had left over from a previous celebration.

For the table centerpiece, I created a faux cake by using some of the black stardust paper that I had for the photo booth backdrop. I covered styrofoam rounds, and finished it off with Red Tissue Festooning.

A simple way I dressed up some plain apples was by attaching Red Metallic Stars, and Blue Metallic Stars to the sticks.

I served popcorn inside of Star Wars Stadium Cups.

Our guests had a great time celebrating, and talking about their excitement for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I hope our tips + easy decoration ideas have inspired you to create your own Star Wars party! Be sure to check out all the awesome Star Wars products that Shindigz has to offer!

    1. Hi, Laurie
I attached the streamers with double sided tape. It held up pretty well during battle. Thanks so much for stopping by!
