Little Jedi Baby Shower| Star Wars Party Ideas - LAURA'S little PARTY

Little Jedi Baby Shower| Star Wars Party Ideas

October 26, 2016

Star Wars is a timeless theme that has been enjoyed by so many, since the 70's! In my every day life, I come across so many friends (and family) that are huge Star Wars fans. One of my sweet friends from my son's school is a big time Star Wars fan - her entire family is! When some of us moms got to talking, we just knew a Jedi baby shower would be the perfect theme for her soon-to-be baby Jedi!

I chose the colors of black and gold to accent the Star Wars decor. I felt it would give a "fancy" touch to a theme that has more of a masculine feel.

For starters, I covered the dessert table in beautiful gold sequin fabric. I found some Darth Vader themed fabric and created a table runner for the center of the table. I set out some cake stands that held sweet treats, and fun party favors.

To make a bold statement for our Star Wars themed baby shower, I used the Galaxy Rebellion Arch for our party table backdrop. I placed flat black paper behind it, to create a smooth finish. The arch was definitely a conversation starter! I added some gold letter balloons to spell out 'Baby Jedi' and attached them to the backdrop. Above the guest table, I hung black & gold paper lanterns to create a festive party feel.

One of my friends made the cutest "Wookie" cookies! They were so cute, and everyone gushed over them.

I love that you can personalize just about anything, over at Shindigz! I ordered some Galaxy Rebellion white swirl lollipops with a personalized message.
As a party favor, I filled personalized Galaxy Rebellion candy jars with black sixlets.

I love keeping things as simple as possible when throwing an event. I almost always opt for cupcakes. The off black sophistication cupcake wrappers were so pretty, and went perfectly with our Little Jedi baby shower decor!

I filled gold popcorn favor boxes with gold wrapped chocolates and set them out for the shower guests to grab on their way out.

I also created some glitter decor by taking styrofoam letters to spell out 'Baby Jedi', and covered them in gold glitter. In person they look so sparkly and pretty!

The guest table was one of my favorite things to put together! I wanted to create a sparkly dining area that was still true to a Star Wars fanatic, who is also expecting a baby Jedi.

I put together an easy centerpiece by taking a small box and attaching a Star Wars themed mask to the front. I also took black and gold glitter foil stars and hot glued them to wooden dowels, and stuck them inside the box. Very simple decor that helped bring the sparkly and masculine theme together.

To create the guest's seating area, I topped the table with a black table cover, and added a gold sequin table runner. I sprinkled black and gold star confetti throughout the space, and started adding more gold and black elements. This Kylo Ren mask added a bold touch to all the sparkle.

Gold votive candle holders looked stunning on the sequin table runner. They added a nice ambiance to our dinner table.

Black dinner plates popped as they sat on top of gold glitter placemats. I added star garland to form a ring around the black napkins

The gold glitter cutlery was a fun touch, and I placed gold chocolate kisses inside of candy tubes at each setting.

My friend loved her Little Jedi Baby shower! It was so fun getting all the girls together to celebrate such a sweet blessing.
