Inspiration for a bright and festive Navidad tree - LAURA'S little PARTY

Inspiration for a bright and festive Navidad tree

December 04, 2018

I truly love the rich colors and beautiful hispanic decor of my culture. Be it a fiesta, or delicious cultural foods from my relatives, I have enjoyed getting back in touch with my heritage! It was a year and half ago that my hubby and I took a cruise to Ensenada. It was there that I purchased some fun items that I ended up using in our Christmas decor, two trees ago.

To continue the love of our heritage, and get my children more involved with our cultural traditions, I decorated our main Christmas tree with all sorts of fun hispanic decor! I knew my theme was meant to be a couple years ago when I happened upon some festive piñata ornaments, chili peppers, cacti, and brightly colored bulbs at Target - muy perfecto!

I added felt Papel Picado that I had previously bought from Michael's. It helped bring our tree to life with its bold design and beautiful, bright colors!

I'm a huge fan of repurposing - especially when it comes to my party decor! I love using the same items for different themes. For example, I used these darling piñata cacti in my cocktails and cactus party. They worked out perfectly on my Navidad tree this year!

I couldn't decide on just a few fiesta themed ornaments from Target... I wanted ALL of them!

I also carried the fiesta decor over to my mantle. I added some green pre-lit garland and added a couple maracas, mini sombreros and a piñata that I got from Shindigz. I also added in a few toy guitars. I set out a serape, and added in some faux roses.

I can't wait to sit down with mi familia and discuss old and new traditions! It's little moments like these that help bring fun memories to life during the holidays.

Feliz Navidad!
