How to throw an Oscar Night viewing party

February 04, 2019

Its Oscar Night! Roll out the red carpet and gather your friends for one of the most glamorous evenings in Hollywood!
Have you ever hosted an Oscar Night party? They're so fun! I'm sharing easy ways you can create your own glamorous evening, complete with easy decor and store-bought treats!

This post was sponsored by Chinet, Cricut and Amalfi Decor. LAURA'S little PARTY has received payment, and/or products, in exchange for party inspiration and fun ideas. As always, all opinions are 100% our own.

Our friends over at Confection Deception create the most gorgeous, creative and non-edible cakes you will ever see! Their twinkle cake with gold stars worked perfectly for our Oscar Party themed celebration. And the beautiful ribbon cake stand from Amalfi Decor coordinated perfectly!

Serve a bubbly beverage for your guests. I love sipping sparkling cider. Add a few sweet cherries on Oscar statue stir sticks and you are ready to sip in style!

Speaking of sipping in style, I couldn't help but fall in love with these elegant and disposable stemless wine glasses, from Chinet! They're the perfect size for your party sips and clean up is a snap!

I had fun creating all the glittery Oscar statues - I added them almost everywhere in my party! I simply created them with my Cricut Maker and gold glittered card stock, in different sizes.

Below, I added them to the tops of cupcakes. Another ribbon cake stand from Amalfi Decor made our sweet treats pop!

Create a festive backdrop for your food table with a balloon letter banner! Because I only had silver letters in my stash, I spray painted them gold before I inflated them. With my Cricut Maker, I cut another Oscar statue from gold glitter card stock and used it in place of the letter "I" in Night. I also put together a balloon garland with red, gold and black balloons to make everything look more festive!

Treat your guests to their very own mini chocolate bundt cake. I found them at my local Walmart and knew they'd be perfect for the party! I set them out at each place setting, on top of mini red cake stands.

You can quickly create fun details to your Oscar Night celebration by adding sparkly gold touches everywhere! I made gold stars in different sizes and added them to my tablescape. Not only did I create and add Oscar statues to stir sticks and dessert toppers, I cut the statues out on gold glitter iron-on vinyl and pressed them onto black napkins with my Cricut Easy Press

Make snacks handy and easy-to-grab. I set out a few small tubs filled with popcorn throughout the party. I found these cute tubs from HomeGoods and couldn't wait to use them for my Oscar Night viewing party!

Are you getting excited to celebrate and watch the Oscars next month? The 90th Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California at 5:00 p.m. PST on March 4, 2018. We can't wait!!
