Cozy up with our fun tips for creating a hot coco bar!

December 03, 2020

My family pretty much counts down the days until we can all enjoy hot chocolate on those chilly days. We are definitely chocolate lovers and will take it any way we can get it! To get everyone into the holiday spirit and excited for all the good things that we love to enjoy together, I transformed one of my bar carts into a hot coco serving station!

It took me no time at all to get everything set out and ready to enjoy! All you need to do is go down a checklist of what you like to include with your hot chocolate. I almost always add cupcakes into every gathering. They're easy, cute as heck, and the perfect amount of sweetness!

Step 1:

Whip up some of that tasty hot chocolate! You can serve it by the cup, or dispense it in large amounts like I did, with my acrylic drink dispenser. I found one that I really love, from Pottery Barn. Why do I love it so much? It's acrylic! And that means no more heavy lifting after you've filled your dispenser with a beverage! Plus it's really easy to clean and looks great at any gathering.

Step 2:

We love to use fun mugs! I picked up some of the CUTEST Christmas mugs from Pottery Barn. I purchased the Reindeer mugs from my local PB last year, and ordered the sweet Mrs. Claus mugs online. Just grab your favorite cups, mugs, or thermos - use anything that will make your hot coco experience more enjoyable!

I used my galvanized 3 tiered stand, also from Pottery Barn, to hold all my Christmas mugs, chocolate spoons, candies, and drink coasters.

Step 3:

Gather some fun fixings! I found some delicious looking chocolate spoons from HomeGoods. Adding in some cute coasters and peppermint sticks will also make it fun!

And don't forget the hot chocolate staples: mini marshmallows, candy canes, whipped cream, and sprinkles!

Hot chocolate is the perfect way to welcome the holiday season! However, I do love me some hot apple cider as well. But that will be for another post. (insert winky face, here)
