My family & I are super excited for the new realease of Monsters University!
Another movie from DisneyPixar, that is sure to be THE hit of the Summer!
I really enjoy creating little celebrations for my children to enjoy.
The new movie release of Monsters University was no exception!
I was inspired by a cute display of mini Monsters University cupcakes,
that I spotted at my local Walmart. They came with the cutest plastic rings!
Once I got home, my wheels started spinning,
and I created a fun, movie "kick-off" party for my kids.
I purchased our movie tickets in advance, for a showing at
Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA this Friday!
My little guy spotted some Monsters University Crocs at Nordstrom,
and had to have them! He even picked out a new t-shirt! We're MU set!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you enjoy my Monsters University movie kick-off party inspiration.
Please feel free to use the printables I created, for your own celebration!
They're provided at the end of my post.
Monsters need to eat! I made a little "cafeteria" with yummy eats, fit for a Monster.
I bought the food trays last year from my local 99cent only store.
I repainted my gumball machine to fit my party theme, and loaded it up!
Plastic milk bottles, filled with Monster green gumballs, were set out for the kids.
{I purchased the milk bottles from Kara's party ideas}
Here was my source of party inspiration!
The mini cupcakes & plastic Monsters University rings caught my eye!
I displayed each mini cupcake inside a coordinating party cup.
{these were purchased from Party City}
I created my Monsters University backdrop with 2 foam boards taped together.
I wrapped them in festive wrapping paper, and tissue fans from Party City.
I designed the banner, and added it to the backdrop. Easy + low cost!
The guests got to make their own Monster colored snow cones.
These were a hit, and really inexpensive.
I found these darling green monsters & straws from Michaels, and had to have them!
They went perfectly with the theme, and look so cute attached to the milk bottles.
I set out bottles of bubbles for the guests.
I attached a fun label that I created. They can be used for water bottles as well.
I made a batch of lime flavored Jell-O, and poured them into push-up pop containers.
I followed the jiggler recipe, and they were ready in 3 hours!
The push-up pop containers were purchased from Pizzazzerie.
I was in need of a cupcake display, but didn't have anything that fit, in my "stash"
So... I painted a candle pilar with a coordinating color, and set a blue plate on top.
Perfect solution! {I had both paint, and plate already}
I thought it would be fun to add some Monsters University school pennants to the table.
I created the pennant, and attached them to plastic, milkshake straws.
Here are all the printables that I created for my party!
{disclaimer} These are not for sale, nor am I making a profit from these printables.
These are for personal use only, and just something fun I added to my theme.
Enjoy!!
Enjoy!!
