I Love Lucy Galentine's Day Party| Valentine Party Ideas

February 10, 2016

It's not every day you come across some amazing women and just know that you'll be best friends! Queue some silly antics, lots of belly laughs, a few fun-seeking-moms that love to make time for their favorite gals, and you've got yourself an I Love Lucy Galentine's Day Party!

We originally came up with the idea of an I Love Lucy party as we were driving home from a weekend conference, in Arizona. We were just coming off of a wonderfully inspiring weekend, and had 4 hours of driving time left. However, as luck + busy schedules would have it, we forgot about our fun idea until just a week before we set our party date! When a group of friends that love to celebrate start talking, fun things are bound to happen. This was our first collaboration together, and we had the best time!

We planned our menu, and quickly started dreaming up all the fun details of our I Love Lucy Galentine's Party. Red, black, and white were the perfect color combo, and sweet treats would seal the deal!

Michelle, from Michelle's Party Plan-It created all the fabulous printables: The I Love Lucy heart logo backdrop, party banner, favor box tags, popcorn box stickers, paper straw decor, and fun vinyl silhouette labels that resembled Lucy & Ricky. Oh! She also whipped up some delicious fluffy cupcakes!

Blanca, with Creativities Galore, designed the cutest retro televisions, and red heart cupcake toppers! They were the perfect touch. Not to mention, super cute.

Arlene, from She Wears The Crown made some darling I Love Lucy cookies, and the cutest candy apples! The sweet mini aprons were so cute.

I created a faux cake that took center stage of our party table. They're so simple to make: All you need is a foam cake round, wrapping paper, and tissue festooning to finish it off.

Our party took place around noon, so we all opted for a luncheon, and feasted on chicken salad sandwiches, cups of potato salad, and fresh fruit. We also sipped on peach iced tea. The table was so fun & bright! We had fun setting it up together, and added our own special touches to each place setting. Before my friends arrived, I put a red rose floral crown on each chair. My daughter Nina was so sweet to make them for all of us! The girls & I loved wearing them, and even had a fun photo session with them!

We laughed so much that day! To be honest, we laugh every time we're together. We enjoy one another's company, and often make jokes out of the silliest things! We gab about our kids, hubbies, TV shows, parties, crafts, and our business ideas. I can't think of a better group of gals to celebrate Galentine's Day with. I love us!

Be sure to check out Michelle's post about all the fun we had at our I Love Lucy Party! And Blanca also did a fun recap of our I Love Lucy Galentine's Party!
