Easy-Peasy S'mores Cereal Cups| Backyard Campout Recipe

We're so excited that summer has arrived! I think my boys have been outside playing more than they've been inside - which is not a bad thing! As a family, we enjoy being outdoors: we love watching movies outdoors, entertaining and camping!
Making fun memories with my children are a top priority on my list. In fact, we recently created an impromptu backyard campout! I got my 6 year old Jordan involved with setting up his tent, and we came up with a fun snack to make together. We created S'mores in a cup! It was so easy to make - so easy that Jordan was able to do the lion's share of the recipe.
Here is what we used for our S'mores Cereal Cups recipe:
Glass bowls, glass cake pan
Wooden spoon
Paper snack cups
1 bag mini marshmallows
1 package graham crackers
4 - 5 cups Cocoa Puffs cereal
I took a bag of mini marshmallows and melted them in the microwave. Parents, please help your children with this step. It will get hot!
In a glass pan my little guy crushed up the graham crackers, and covered the bottom of the pan. Depending on the size of crushed pieces, we used nearly an entire package of crackers.
We added the melted mallows to the cookie crust bottom, and then added the Cocoa Puffs cereal.
Once all the ingredients are added into the pan, grease your hands, (unless the kids don't mind being coated with gooey goodness) and mix everything together. We discovered its much easier to hand mix rather than use a spoon...
When the graham crackers, and Cocoa Puffs are thoroughly coated with the marshmallows, pull apart small amounts, and place them inside of paper cups, and enjoy!
My little guy had so much fun making his own snack. We were able to munch on S'mores in a cup, during our backyard campout! This is what its all about - taking fun little moments that will create a lifetime of memories.

Looks like a yummy snack! A backyard campus is such a great idea and perfect to add to a summer vacation bucket list.
