Vintage Halloween party ideas
October 11, 2019I have always been drawn to vintage decor - especially vintage Halloween decor! I think it's because I spent so much time with my Grandparents and remember my Grandmother's decorations growing up. With all her vintage decor in mind, I created some vintage Halloween party inspiration!
Over the past few months, I collected some fun vintage looking props while I was out shopping. My first source of inspiration was this darling standing cat statue that I found during one of my many trips to HomeGoods. Once I bought it, all the other vintage inspired decor fell into place.
One of my all-time-favorite-finds was this wooden vintage pay phone! Not only did I know it would be perfect for my vintage Halloween party, but I knew that I'd be using this to decorate my home. And our Mr. Bones makes another appearance in this party set up.
I found the most darling vintage Halloween paper goods from My Mind's Eye. I had to stop myself from buying everything on their site! I used their cake topper set for my faux party cake. The skeleton holding the pumpkin was my favorite!
I took their pumpkin garland and added it to a small spooky tree from Shindigz.
One of my favorite places to set up a party is in a little area of my backyard. It's a small corner that sits behind our 6' tall hedge. This small grassy area has a birch tree that is just bare enough for me to hang decor from it - the area was perfect for my vintage Halloween party!
The party table had lots of fun elements on top of it. Let's take a look!
I spotted these very vintage looking popcorn boxes, plates, and snack cups + lids, from Hobby Lobby. I think they added so much cuteness to our party table!
I found a great spider web table cover, and an equally great table runner, from HomeGoods. I loved the simple look of black & white. It popped perfectly with our vintage Halloween party decor.
I adorned our party chairs with festive Halloween banners from Target. And I found the coolest wooden 31 in their Dollar Spot. The fun thing about the numbers is that you can also make it lucky number 13!
...and let's chat a bit about these fabulous cake stands! I picked these beauties up from HomeGoods. There's even a tiered stand that I scooped up, but I used that in another party that I'm excited to share with you soon!
Our cupcakes looked spooky-sweet with cupcake wrappers and toppers from My Mind's Eye. Plus I added a little more "festive" to our store bought cupcakes with the cutest Candyfetti™ from Sweets Indeed!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope I've inspired some lovely Halloween decor ideas!
