When I think of Halloween time, I think of chilly evenings, snacks, and game night. We love playing games regularly, and during Halloween time, we enjoy having friends over for our annual ghoulish game night!
With a variety of Mars candies, and Walmart, I'm sharing ideas for creating a fun evening of ghoulish games, spooky sundaes, and a simple DIY tray for serving those tricks & treats!
We love to entertain on the weekends, and with Halloween approaching, it is the perfect time to host a fun ghoulish themed game night, don't you think?! Our game night gatherings are pretty casual and don't require a lot of fuss, which is ideal when your main goal is to just hang out and have fun!
We pull out a couple of our favorite "ghoulish" games, roll out the bar cart, and start preparing for a fun Halloween evening. A crowd favorite is a wooden tower game! I painted our game in Halloween colors and added some googly eyes to a few wooden game pieces. So fun, right?!
I like to set out a couple snack options such as popcorn, and my favorite: ice cream sundaes! Easily create a spooky sundae by serving ice cream inside mummy mugs. Top your ice cream with M&M’S® Ghoul's mix chocolate candies, and SKITTLES® Zombie FUN SIZE® Candy!
For a fun Halloween touch, display M&M’S® Ghoul's mix chocolate candies inside of creepy test tubes! Have everything easily accessible by setting everything out on a bar cart.
If you're serving up tricks & treats, get creative and make a simple DIY serving tray for your game night. You can use it to serve your spooky sundaes, or even set up your tower block game on the tray.
Here is a list of supplies you'll need:
Plain wooden tray
Paint
Stencils
Sponge brush
Think of a phrase that you would like to paint onto your tray. It can be as simple or as intricate as you would like. I went with a simple "Tricks n Treats" design.
Pick an area on the tray where you would like to add your text, and start to place your stencils accordingly. I found some easy-to-use adhesive stencils. They were great to work with and I found that they were less messy than the regular stencils.
Dip the sponge in your paint and dab any excess paint before you blot it inside your stencil.
Once you've added paint inside of your stencil, slowly and carefully peel away your stencil. Continue the entire process until you've created your design - it's really that simple!
Once your tray is dry, start adding on all those ghoulish goodies and spooky items!
Who's ready to host a ghoulish game night and serve spooky sundaes? It's not hard to do with our simple ideas, easy tips, and candy from Walmart!
