I love celebrating New Year's Eve! I am a total night owl, so I never have any trouble staying up late to ring in the new year. With younger children at home, hubby and I use that as an excuse to stay in and celebrate in our lounge clothes, and lots of yummy snacks nearby! To keep everyone entertained, we like to set up a special area that we can all enjoy as a family.

Often times we have an open house. So we have friends and family pop over throughout the day, and evening. We usually have music playing, or a family movie. We bring out board games, and just enjoy the festivities as we look forward to a shiny, new start!

Isn't this banner so FABULOUS?! Angie from Grey Dot Co. designed this little gem, especially for our family NYE gathering! I can't wait to use it year after year!!

I make sure to have party hats and horns readily available. Little snacks to nibble on, disco cups to sip from, and even some bubbles for the kids.

In the middle of our living room, I like to set up a small table for my little guys. It helps keep messes to a minimum, and gives them a place to sit and feel included in the festivities of the day. I especially fell in love with the darling ribbon skirt, made by our friend Nancy, from A to Zebra Celebrations!

You can also find these fun styrofoam numbers in her shop! I took some gold glitter and decorated them for our NYE table.
