Sweet 16 Game night party!

December 29, 2016

Sweet 16 parties are a big deal! The birthday guest of honor has a lot to celebrate with their friends and family. We've come up with some ideas and inspiration for a Game Night themed birthday party! With the help of some pretty cool party items from Shindigz, you can create your own bright and inviting Game Night celebration!

To help set the tone for our game night party, I used large cardboard standees that represented familiar board games that we all love. Behind the party table I set up an Operation Standee, and a Twister standee.

Brightly colored latex balloons and dice favor boxes were added for a fun touch!

For the party table, I used a blue rectangle table cover, and added pops of bright colors throughout. Yellow plastic plates were personalized by adding game night stickers to the center of the plates. At each place setting I created orange tissue festooning napkin rings around bright red polyester napkins.

To greet the party guests, I attached Monopoly money to each chair. More balloons, and paper lanterns helped create a festive atmosphere at their table!

A Monopoly Go standee, Mr. Potato head and Mrs. Potato head, also made an appearance!

How many of you loved playing the Game of Life? I was really happy when I was able to add a Life spinner standee to the party's decor!

Over the dessert station, I set up a large Candy Land arch. It was so pretty, and fit perfectly over the table. The guest of honor will love that it can be personalized with their name! I also added Hasbro game night signs throughout the party area.

As part of the table decor, I stacked some of our own board games, and set cake stands on top. This made a nice display for our cupcakes with personalized Monopoly board cupcake wrappers, and other party treats as well.

Will you be planning a game night party soon?!
