Wild One! First Birthday Party - LAURA'S little PARTY

Wild One! First Birthday Party

November 27, 2017

First birthdays are such a big milestone for little ones. I love first birthday parties! I created a fun Wild One themed party that is so fitting for any "wild" little 1 year old.

The backdrop was pretty easy to create. With my easy how-to, and products from the Shindigz site, you can recreate this, or even be inspired to design something of your own! For starters, I used a gray flat paper roll for the backdrop. I hung the paper with an adjustable backdrop frame - In fact, I use this all the time for my parties! I took a gray striped table cover to help make all the brown tones pop! Then, I added a darling canvas teepee. I really love that the teepee can be used later, for play time!

I used letter balloons to spell out Wild One, and added pops of yellow balloons. A wooden tree was added to the table, along with a paper mache deer head. I took Wild One personalized cutouts and tied one in between the antlers.

The neat thing about creating parties, even if you're using themed party decor like the Wild One set, is that you get to add your own personal touches! Shindigz is great at having so many items available for personalization. The guest of honor will also enjoy seeing their name everywhere!

These cards were personalized Wild One favor bag toppers. I also used them to add little details around the party table.

For desserts, I added items that coordinated well with the Wild One theme. And by setting out desserts on wood platters, and stands, everything looked well coordinated. I used Wild One personalized stickers and added them to food picks, and finished off the look with jute twine. They made plain cake donuts look so festive!

The Wild One cupcake wrappers coordinated well with the pops of yellow ballons, and wooden platter, don't you think?

Also on the party table, I displayed extra plates and paper cups inside of a wooden crate. Bamboo utensils were set out inside of tin cans. Just a couple more details that give your theme a more personal feel.

One of my favorite things to set up is the main party table! I love creating a fun table that will have your guests happy to be part of the festivities.

I set out some wood patterned paper that I had in my craft room, and used it as the table cover. Another great option would be the flat wood paper. I then set out tree stump placemats, and started adding all the Wild One details, such as: dinner plates, dessert plates, party hats, and personalized tumblers.

I stated earlier that I added the bag toppers throughout the party set up. Here is another example of how I used it. I set the toppers inside of wood place card holders.  They looked really cute at each place setting.

I also made centerpieces using the bag topper, and personalized cut out. I attached them to wooden dowels with some hot glue, and stuck them in a tin can with styrofoam and krinkle paper. Super easy decor that adds a little personal touch to your party table!
