Kid-friendly NYE pj party! - LAURA'S little PARTY

Kid-friendly NYE pj party!

December 12, 2017

Ring in the new year with a fun, kid-friendly NYE party! My boys LOVE to celebrate, and New Year's Eve is no exception. They try so hard to stay up until the ball drops. This year, they'll be celebrating in their pajamas for 'Jordan and Dylan's NYE pajama party'!

For a kid-friendly NYE pajama party, I wanted to keep the decor festive and also coordinate with a night time theme. I used colors of black, white, and silver, along with fun pops of aqua! Moon shapes and stars were also added.

Kids love to sip milk and nibble on cookies before bed - create an Oreo cake by making a cookie tower and placing them onto a cake stand. Guests can take home cookies in a personalized cookie tin

Sipping milk out of a personalized milk bottle with stickers, is a treat! Add a fun paper straw and grab some cookies.

Serving popcorn inside of cups is perfect for little hands.

Don't forget the bubbly! I spray painted jars of bubbles to coordinate with the party's decor. With silver star garland, I attached pipe cleaner wands to each bottle.

The crescent shaped balloon was a huge hit! I loved how it floated in front of our black and white star paper backdrop.

Party hats are so fun to wear when you're celebrating! I created the festive look with plain white party hats. I added personalized stickers, black tissue festooning, and topped them off with pieces of silver star garland. My boys Jordan and Dylan loved wearing their party hats!

A kid-friendly party is not complete without a designated party table for your smallest guests! Create a table that is inviting, and full of fun favors to keep the party going. For a "wow" factor, add some star shaped sparklers to your cake!

Give each party guest a bucket-o-fun! I took white pails and filled them with all sorts of fun items: silver party horns, hand clappers to make some noise, a pair of goofy glasses for those picture-perfect moments, and a small bundle of sparklers. Add a personalized sticker, and the guests will be ready to party!

I also set out black gable boxes, and added another personalized sticker. This one matched perfectly with our pajama party theme. I tied on a sweet treat with silver star garland.

I covered the party table with white flat paper. I hand drew confetti swirls, dots, and triangles. This was a fun way to bring an added touch of fun to our table. I love how darling the star dinner plates looked at each place setting. They coordinated really well. For a nice pop of color, I took a white styrofoam star and painted it aqua.

I added more styrofoam stars to the back of each guest's chair.

A pajama party is so much more fun with a tent! I took a happy camper tent and spray painted it black. I added a styrofoam star at the front entrance. White tissue balls, aqua tissue poms, and a silver star balloon were set out around the tent. I also set out some bams for another source of party noise, for when midnight strikes!

Grab a night mask, and head inside the tent for some pajama party fun!

Don't forget to light those sparklers when the clock strikes midnight! The sparklers won't be the only thing to shine bright at the party - just look at that smile!

Wishing all of you a Happy New Year, and a prosperous 2017!
