Backyard flamingo pool party - LAURA'S little PARTY

Backyard flamingo pool party

June 27, 2018

Backyard pool parties are a summer staple for kids! When school is out for the summer, it's time for sleepovers with cousins, swim parties, and lots of fun memories!

I hosted a backyard flamingo pool party for my boys and two sweet nieces. They were all so excited to get together for a day of summer fun!

My nieces nibbled on popcorn and cupcakes! They were treated to a summer themed party table and sat on flamingo floats for seats.

Flamingo celebrations call for flamingo sunglasses, of course! I found them in the Target dollar section a few months back and couldn't pass them up.

I took those brightly colored plastic boats and painted them in pink and black, to match our party's colors. My sweet nieces had the best time playing in the huge flamingo pool I picked up from Sam's Club!

And we can't forget my two adorable cabana boys! They served their cousins ice water and sweet cupcakes, with a smile. I whipped up their shirts with my Cricut machine, and iron-on vinyl.

My pink cart and umbrella and two of my favorite props! I painted an old popcorn machine and added vinyl letters to the front. You may recognize it from my party like a Pineapple birthday party...

The umbrella was also easy to create! I took a plain beach umbrella and added pom-pom fringe all around the edge. I easily attached it with sticky velcro. I first used it at my Lobster boil beach party!

Party favors are always a good idea! Not only will party tumblers and flamingo sunglasses be perfect favors, pink flip-flops will also be a hit. They took all their goodies home in the large flamingo buckets that I found at Walmart during Easter.

I hope your summer has been super fun so far!
