First Holy Communion celebration - LAURA'S little PARTY

First Holy Communion celebration

June 11, 2018

We recently celebrated my son's First Holy Communion with family and friends with a lovely outdoor reception. We've been preparing for this sacrament for a while now, and we were overjoyed for this special day. Everything was so easy to plan and put together, thanks to all the pretty items that I found from Shindigz!

From the metallic silver table covers, napkins, Devotion dinner plates, candles and candle holders, I was able to host a beautiful gathering that my family & friends truly enjoyed. Will you be celebrating a special event soon? We're sharing simple ways to add pretty touches and easy decor, with simple materials.

Fresh florals bring so much life to a table! Want to make your party tables pop? Add some greenery! It looks so pretty against the soft grays and candlelight. Easily add a boxwood garland down the center of your tables for a finished look.

Plastic wine glasses are a breeze and a wonderful alternative to glass. It takes the guessing out of possible accidents. No glass to clean up and you can wash and use them over again!

Set a beautiful table setting for each party guest with Devotional dinner plates, metallic silver napkins folded neatly, shiny silver cutlery and lots of candle light.

Create a serene party atmosphere with colors of muted grays, greens and white. You can easily create a lovely backdrop for your food table. Start by using gray flat paper as your base. Add the illusion of drape panels by adding white satin fabric to each side of your backdrop.

For the top of your backdrop, create texture by adding pretty white tissue balls, and white tissue poms

Add some pattern to your theme by using a gray striped table cover. Set out your food platters, and tiered stands filled with food so your guests can easily serve themselves. Drink dispensers are also a great option. Set up a drink station and set out Devotional paper cups and Devotional beverage napkins nearby.

Wishing you a special event that is filled with family, friends, and beautiful decor!
