throw a wild and adventurous Valentine party - LAURA'S little PARTY

throw a wild and adventurous Valentine party

January 17, 2019

My boys have an incredible spirit about them. They are wild and adventurous and often dirty. They love to play outside and dig in the dirt for hours. They love to ride their scooters, and help with yard work. When I thought about a Valentine's party theme for them, I definitely had my boys' energetic spirit in mind.

Last year I created this party for them and I had my friend Donna, from Swish Printables whip up a printable set for me. I shared my vision with her and she effortlessly brought it to life, just like she always does! Her printable set turned out so CUTE!

I used arrows, hearts, and feathers throughout my Wild at Heart Valentine party. I made a couple simple dream catchers to use as party decor and used one of the many teepees that my boys like to play in.

I set up a small party table and filled it with "wild" party decor and a few sweet treats. I took a solid black plate and hand drew teepees and arrows with a chalk marker. This was so easy to do and helped tie everything together for my Wild at Heart Valentine Party.

With the printable feathers file, I made the boys a small feather headband by hot gluing them onto black ribbon. I also constructed a couple tabletop teepees with black card stock, a chalk marker, and twigs from our backyard.

Next to the boys' teepee, I set out some apples on a wooden crate. I added a small teepee banner, and a table sign. I also hung the dream catchers that I constructed from embroidery hoops, ribbon, and printable feathers.

With twigs, twine and printables, I made a bow and a couple arrows for the boys to play with. The boys laughed as they tried to shoot their arrows like cupid.

Notice the dirty hands... the boys were digging and playing on the dirt hill. You may also notice that one of my little free spirits is missing from my photos. He was having too much fun playing and didn't want his picture taken.

My boys had a fun afternoon of snacking and playing in the yard. I love that they're Wild at Heart and full of energy and creativity. Do you have any special plans for your little Valentines?

Pin this for inspiration and create your own Wild at Heart Valentine's Party! And don't forget to check out our friends over at Swish Printables.
