How to throw a simple Oscar viewing party for the win!

Every year I look forward to watching the Academy awards! I love seeing the stars walk down that red carpet. The dresses. The jewels. The hairstyles. Everything about Oscar night is so glamorous!

Looking for some Oscar party inspiration? I’ve got a few easy ideas for you!

I love to set up a small area for all the award watchers in my house. Over the years I’ve had my girlfriends over so that we could watch together. I hand out Oscar ballots, pour the bubbly, and pop the corn!

Big or small, your Oscar party can be as fun and glamorous as you like. This year I couldn’t wait to use my new popcorn machine! I set up a fun movie sign and attached a strand of round light bulbs around it. This made the perfect marquee sign!

I ordered a cake from Walmart and decorated it myself with star picks, and edible star glitter. I served popcorn in cute tuxedo boxes from Dollar Tree, and set them out for my guests. I served Coca-Cola in champagne glasses, and added star garland to the stems, and fun star paper straws.

I kept the decor simple by setting out a glitzy gold table runner, gold balloons, paper lanterns, and an iconic cardboard standee of Audrey Hepburn. The fun part was getting to set up the party inside of my new home studio! Invite your friends over for some red carpet fun!
