I'm sharing a zesty shrimp taco salad that makes a perfect meal during Lent season. Adding Clamato® Tomato Cocktail to your recipes is a great way for keeping those lent-friendly meals tasting delicious!

Walmart is my go-to for finding fresh ingredients, along with everything else I might need for making delicious dishes. Their everyday low prices are key when it comes to feeding my family. I always know that I'm getting a good value at Walmart!

My abuela has a gift for whipping up amazing meals, especially during Lent! Having grown up with her cooking, I often look to her for guidance when it comes to creating Lent-friendly meals for my own family.

Along with looking to her for ideas, I often think back to the deep roots our family has for enjoying holidays, and impromptu gatherings with one another. No matter how busy we all get, my abuela brings us all together. Convivir and spending as much time with each other is strong in my family - and I love how Clamato helps keep our Lent traditions alive!

One meal that I keep coming back to is this zesty shrimp taco salad! It's full of fresh ingredients, tasty Clamato Tomato Cocktail, and is pretty easy to make!

I've created a list of what you'll need for the recipe: You can adjust the serving size easily. Here I made a smaller version that was perfect for 4 of us. You can double the recipe as needed.

Shrimp Taco Salad

Clamato Tomato Cocktail (32oz for a smaller batch | 64oz for a larger portion)
2 Tblsp of ReaLemon (15oz bottle)
Tostada bowls
Shrimp (medium size - fresh or frozen)
2 - 4 cloves of garlic (more if you're keeping the vampires away)
1 bunch of cilantro
Lettuce (I love using Walmart's packaged shredded lettuce)
2 tomatoes
2 avocados
1 bunch green onions
2 limes
Salt and Pepper to taste

First thing I do is prepare my seafood for a nice saute. Start by opening up your shrimp. Thaw and/or rinse your shrimp, and strain.

Place shrimp in a bowl and start combining your garlic, limes (squeezed) salt and pepper, and 1/2 c. Clamato Tomato Cocktail. Mix thoroughly to coat the shrimp.

Prepare your skillet by adding a small amount of oil, and 2 gloves of minced garlic.

You'll have a nice amount of liquid in your skillet - this will evaporate as cooking time increases.

Once the shrimp is sautéed to desired consistency, set aside.

As your shrimp is simmering, that's a great time to start chopping all your fresh ingredients for the next part of the recipe!

Once everything is chopped, start throwing everything into a large bowl. Add cooked shrimp to a small amount of lettuce. Then, add your tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, and green onions. Give it a cook mix.

With everything combined, it's hard to ignore the wonderful aroma of all your fresh ingredients! Now it's time to add a delicious zesty dressing. This is where the ReaLemon juice comes in!

Zesty Dressing

In a bowl, mix the following ingredients:

2 tbsp of ReaLemon juice
2 tbsp of garlic powder
1/2 c Clamato Tomato Cocktail

Once everything is fully mixed, pour dressing over shrimp mixture and stir to coat. Now you're ready to fill your tostada bowls, add a wedge of lime, and enjoy!

It's amazing how versatile Clamato Tomato Cocktail is for different recipe needs. Clamato spices up all your favorite dishes as well as helping you create the perfect Michelada!
