Movie Night Serving Tray | Easy DIY Project
February 23, 2017
Do you have a special serving tray for your movie nights? No? Well, consider yourself in the right place! I'm going to show you how simple it is to create one of your own. The neat part is that you can personalize it any way you like - you can make it as beautiful & unique as your own family!
Here is the list of supplies I used.
Black chalkboard paint, red, and metallic gold acrylic paint
Sponge brush, paint brush
Stencil Mania Stencil in Times Alphabet
Step 1. Paint the entire tray with your main color of choice, then wait for it to dry completely. I chose black as my base color so the red letters and gold stars would stand out.
Step 2. Once the paint is dry, take your letter stencils and position them in the area you'd like to start painting. Choose a fun phrase. I wanted my tray to say: Aguirre Movie Night.
Step 3. With my sponge brush, I took my red paint and started to dab inside of the stencil. I continued this process until my phrase was complete. Let it dry completely, before you go on to the next step.
Step 4. Choose the areas where you would like your stars to go. I applied stars around my 'Aguirre Movie Night' phrase, and along the inside and outside of the tray. Once the stars are dry, you'll be ready to enjoy your newly decorated tray!
