Oscar Party Ideas
February 15, 2017
Are you getting ready for the Oscars? I'm really looking forward to watching them this year! Oscar night is for sipping bubbly beverages, wearing your best boa, and looking glam in your sunglasses as the paparazzi snaps your picture! Roll out the red carpet, put the sparkling cider on ice, and give your guests the VIP treatment with my easy Oscar party ideas.
As you're working on the guest list, decide on a theme, (I chose Hollywood Hills Sign) and send out personalized invitations that coordinate with your party's decor. Set out a framed personalized poster and use it to welcome your guests. Add an award night statuette to your table - your guests may even want to take their photo while holding one!
Use a fun clapboard centerpiece to help "direct" your guests over to the party table. Create an easy menu with easy-to-grab treats and dressed up bottles of sparkling cider.
Shindigz makes it so easy to coordinate your entire event! These personalized Hollywood Hills sign cupcake wrappers were just what these cupcakes needed.
Add fun props to your party table. I added a mini movie camera light to my dessert stand, and set out movie reels. Use fun cardboard standees to help bring your party to life! The movie reels standee is the perfect touch.
Don't forget the sparkle! Add gold glitter star cutouts for an added touch of glam. They worked perfectly on the front of the party table.
Gather your guests and create a festive party backdrop! Red satin fabric is perfect for simulating red drapes. They'll help make the perfect setting for your party table! Get creative with your decor and utilize styrofoam letters to spell out Hollywood - just like the Hollywood sign!
And don't forget the red carpet! Your guests will love the VIP treatment as they walk the red carpet, all while the paparazzi standee snaps their picture.
VIP guests need swag! Set out swag bags filled with items they'll need for the Oscar party. Fill a mini black gift bag with a feather boa, and sunglasses. So fun! Finish it off with a personalized Hollywood Hills sign sticker, to commemorate your event.
